Privacy
This website does not track you.
It sets no cookies, runs no advertising or analytics scripts, builds no profile of you, and shares nothing with third parties. There is no sign-up, and no form that collects your details.
A few things happen automatically, as they do on any website:
- The hosting provider, Netlify, records standard server logs — IP address, browser type, and which pages were requested — for security and reliability. These are held by Netlify under their own privacy policy.
- Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, and some video thumbnails are served by YouTube. Those providers may see your IP address as a result.
- Your language choice (English or Arabic) is remembered in your own browser. It never leaves your device.
If you email using the address on this site, that correspondence is handled by ordinary email and is not stored here.
Use of photographs and material
The photographs, writing, and archive material on this site are the property of Maher Abdelqader unless otherwise credited.
Journalists, researchers, and event organisers may reproduce the portrait and biographical material from the press kit for editorial purposes without asking.
For anything else — reproducing archive photographs, licensing images for a film or publication, or commercial use of any kind — please write first. Requests are welcome and usually straightforward.
Some material links out to interviews and articles published by third parties. Those remain the property of the outlets that produced them, and their own terms apply.
Accuracy
This archive spans three decades. Where a photograph carries a caption, it reflects the best information available. Where a caption is absent, it is because the details could not be verified — not because they were thought unimportant.
If you spot something described incorrectly, please say so. Corrections are made willingly.
